I decided to make some coffee soap for the first time and give them away as gifts for Mother’s Day. I didn’t want to deal with lye and I don’t have time to wait for them to cure, so I used the melt-and-pour base method. A melt-and-pour base is basically a plain pre-made soap base just waiting for customization usually by adding color, fragrance, and exfoliating additives, such as coffee grounds.
